Cane Quality: Step 1

DID YOU KNOW THERE ARE DIFFERENT QUALITIES OF CANE AND RATTAN?

Cane and Rattan is graded when grown and sold with grading from 'A' to 'F', the best being 'A' , and is then sold in its raw state by weight. Grade 'A' cane and rattan is grown to a certain size and thickness, whereby it can be steamed and shaped using the factory jigs. Thinner and less dense cane is far easier to work with, resulting in a much cheaper product that will not last. Cane suites made from this type of cane are renowned for splitting, and the legs have a tendency to splay outward after a short period of time. All our classic furniture is built using double or even triple banded legs

At Cane Direct we use only grade 'A 'canean rattan offering the finest finish available and this is how we are able to give you a  guarantee on the durability and strength of our conservatory furniture. (Please ask for written details what the guarentee covers)

When deciding upon cane accessories it is important to ensure that when looking at coffee tables and such like, that the glass is actually beaded into the table. With some inferior sets the glass just sits on top of the table leaving it a little dangerous especially where children are concerned. At Cane Direct we bead all our glass into the tables, with a cane bead, not only to make it safer, but it also gives the product that nice finished look.

We have worked very hard at Cane Direct for the last 17 years to maintain and develop our quality and offer our products at the very best prices.

SO BEFORE YOU MAKE ANY PURCHASE, ASK THE QUESTIONS.
  • DO YOU USE GRADE A CANE AND RATTAN?
  • ASK FOR A CLOSE UP IMAGE OF THE CANE POLES SO YOU CAN COMPARE THEM TO OURS.
  • ASK THE QUESTION DO YOU GUARANTEE YOUR FURNITURE ?
