This is the Quality and Comfort guide for both conservatory furniture and all weather furniture

Construction: Step 2

CONSTRUCTION FOR CONSERVATORY FURNITURE

At Cane Direct we use only Grade 'A' cane. This enables us to screw the bases actual in to the frame 2 at the front and 2 at the rear , as opposed to just resting the base on a plinth at the front and the rear, as is the case with most industry standard furniture.

We also use 4" high quality rattan screws to give our furniture real strength, which allows us to offer a  guarantee. (Please ask for written details what the guarentee covers)

Beware of companies who use a nut and bolt system to build cane furniture. This is a much cheaper way to put cane furniture together and again, will not last as eventually the bolt heads perish and split the cane leaving you with a very loose frame.

WITH ALL OUR CLASSIC RANGES OF FURNITURE WE USE DOUBLE OR TRIPLE BANDED CANE LEGS FOR LASTING DURABILITY AND STRENGH, THE INDUSTRY STANDARD IS TO USE A SINGLE POLE.

BEFORE YOU MAKE YOUR PURCHASE ASK THE FOLLOWING.
  • ARE THE BASES SCREWED INTO THE FRAME?
  • ARE THE BASES SUPPORTED IN EACH CORNER?
  • ARE THE BASES RESTING JUST ON PLINTHS?
  • ARE THE FRAMES PUT TOGETHER BY SCREWS OR NUTS AND BOLTS?
  • ASK FOR A PHOTO FROM UNDER THE CHAIR SO YOU CAN SEE THE CONSTRUCTION
  • DO YOU USE DOUBLE OR TRIPLE BANDED CANE LEGS? OR ON SINGLE POLES 20mm CANE POLE ON ALL YOUR CONSERVATORY FURNITURE?
